15th September- Wimpole Grantchester off road (car + ride)

Meet at 09:30 at Stevenage Old Town Bowling Green to load bikes onto racks and drive to Wimpole Hall (21 miles, approx 30 mins).

Bike ride is 28 miles, + 1095 ft climbing, 60% unpaved (similar surfaces to Letchworth greenway).

This route is suitable for mountain and gravel bikes.

Ride from Wimpole Hall to Grantchester and Trumpington along bridleways (Wimpole Way, Greenwich Meridian Trail, Harcamlow Way and Mare Way), cycle tracks and quiet lanes.

Refreshment stop at The Orchard Tea Garden in Grantchester.

Approximately  3.5 to 5 hours moving time plus refreshments time.

Helmets are strongly recommended for all off-road rides.
