Distance Ride - Woodlesford to Leeds (and back)

Unicyclists passing Thwaites Mill, alongside the Aire and Calder Navigation
Group ride

Event description

Starting from Woodlesford Lock, we're going to ride along the canal towpath (NCN Route 67) alongside the Aire and Calder Navigation to Leeds, stop at a nice cafe (TBD), then ride leisurely back again.

The route is almost entirely traffic free, with a good surface and only very slight grades.

Approx 15 miles at an 7-8mph pace with numerous stops, 29-36" wheels recommended.

If you do not own a larger unicycle but wish to borrow one out for this event, please get in touch.

Please remember to bring water with you. Sometimes the weather in this country is nice and we should all try and remain properly hydrated.

As usual this event is free, however non-members are requested to join us after two rides/events, as it is members who cover the group's fixed costs.

--- How many wheels? ---
If you've stumbled upon this ride and you happen to ride a multi-wheeled cycle, be aware that we're primarily a group for unicyclists and you'll likely find our pace far too slow with a seemingly endless number of biscuit stops...
